Yes you can - please view: How to run an Agentless Inventory scan on multiple computers from the Core Server with LDDiscover.exe
Edit: Make sure on your core server that you add an inbound exception for port 5010 otherwise the lddiscover tool will not function correctly.
I just tested this on 9.5.2 and it worked just fine.
