Re: "Switch to Self Service" button not appearing in Web Access unless you switch off compatibility mode

If you receive this issue please log it with your support provider with the problem reference:

 

5924 - Web Access incorrectly detects IE 8/9/10/11 in Compatibility Mode as IE7

The easiest is to use an external URL such as comanyname.co.uk/servicedesk.webaccess. The URL can point to the local IP address internally.
