Hello everyone. As I try to learn LANDesk patching and figure everything out, I have come upon another question. I created a query to show machines that have not completed a vulnerability scan in more than 30 days. The query worked as expected, but I added some additional scan columns such as Last Updated By Inventory, Last Software Scan date, Last Hardware Scan Date, etc... Here is what I discovered:
A lot of the machines that hadn't had a vulnerability scan in over 30 days had successfully completed one or more of the other scans successfully in the last day or two. Example, one machine hadn't had a vulnerability scan since 11/21/13 but was last updated by inventory on 01/06/14 and also had hardware and software scans on 01/06/14. Is there a reason why these agents would be checking in but not patching the machines? Do I need to check my scan settings? We have most of our patches in autofix, and I am puzzled why a machine can check in properly but not complete a vulnerability scan. Maybe I'm missing something simple here. Any help or advice to fix this issue is much appreciated as I have many machines experiencing this issue. Thank you for your help!
