I would do the following:
* Open a support call about this (the not deleting devices during maintenance)
* Create a full database backup & compress it (normal Winzip is enough - DB's compress very well).
* Support will tell you where to upload it to, and we can have a look at it.
Could be that there's something in the DB that needs to be fixed / goes wrong, or that there's an actual defect for some reason. Not something I can troubleshoot effectively over a thread, sorry .
Also, support should be able to provide you any updated component patches as part of due process, as you should let them know what version of LANDesk you're on - so if there's something that can be patched, they should be able to deliver that to you .
I would suggest that this would be the best action to take forward - it doesn't sound like you're doing "something wrong" or have misconfigured something (there's not really much to get wrong, and your confirmation that hosts retain their names is good enough for me), so a support call seems to be the best way forward.
