Patch downloading to Core 9.5 spk 2 causes the directory browsing to stop on the ISS server

Is there and article like this HTTP repository for SWD/Preferred Server in IIS 7.5 for setting up for downloading patches. When the patches get downloaded they overwirte the web.config file and this causes the directory browsing setting to not enabled. Is there a write on how to set up automatic download of patches and share them without overwriting the web.config file on the web server.
