Remove an Item in a Collection

Is it possible to use an action or calculation to remove an item from a collection?  I'm trying to get the removal of a CC Recipient to work in the Web and I've hit a roadblock.  I can follow these steps and remove them fine within Console but it doesn't work in the Web.

Has anyone successfully accomplished this in the web?  It's nice to be able to add CC Recips but it would be even nicer to be able to remove them from both Web and Console.
