We don't have the budget for a big dev env although i can use a separate box with an ssd. The problem is that it doesn't matter what i'm using the SSD for (temp db, pagefile, logfiiles) it still takes 4 mins to save the window (and most other tasks) in dev (2 mins in live)

I'm wondering if, in my case, it's the multi-threading that's the issue. It seems like there is always one thread that is maxed out during a save but the CPU is underutilised

Is Service Desk multitasking properly or is there a wpw3.exe setting in IIS that can be changed?
