As an ACTC, I use two Mac Minis, a highly cost effective solution. Both have Mac OS X Server on them. The older one is configured with the older Mavericks OS, and the newer, primary server has Yosemite on it. I can create NetRestore images. It's really easy and setup is a breeze. There's plenty of books and even YouTube will help you configure your MacOS Server. It works well with Active Directory, but in our environment we keep the UNIX and Windows environment separate. It's incredibly easy to setup how you want your image to be distributed, and then have the System Imaging Utility in the MacOS create you an image for your environment.
