I have a requirement to list all "Services" by site location. Services in this case live in the Asset list used by service catalogue. There are over 50 site locations an a service can obvioulsy be linked to multiple locations
The purpose of which is to give Analysts an overview of the site locations where a service is in use.
Using a drop down list for all site locations will not be sufficient, since a service can be linked to many and in some case all site locations. i.e a drop down list allows for a one to one relationship, where as my service can be linked to many. Placing a checkbox for each site onto the service window, seems really messy also since there are over 50 sites (and growing).
I have considered multi selection lists but have failed at the first attempt using the steps in the designer manual. Will retry that again tomorrow.
My question is this: If using a multi selection list (as site location), is it possible to report in the same way as you would with a regular drop down list. I.e display all services where "multi select list" value contains "location x". Would be interested to know of anyone who uses multi select lists and any pro's/cons to those.
Also, If there is another way of achieving the same that I have not considered here, would be interested in suggestions.
