My old MS Word Templates Stopped Working. How do I fix them?

We updated our Goldmine to Ver 2017.1.0.422 and now none of our Word for Windows templates will pull in the data from Goldmine. We have the Goldmine Plus addin installed, and there is a Goldmine ribbon in both Word 2013 and Word 2016, but I can't get the templates to update. When I try to recreate the template, and insert a dynamic Goldmine field, nothing happens. No field is inserted - the cursor jumps to the next line. How do I fix this?

Are you wanting to display multiple Journal.Note records or just a flag to state that employee record has them?

Having the same issue here with about 2/3 rds of our computers (60 machines). The patches that are failing are for Office products, 2010, 2013 and 2016.

 

When I download the patches directly from MS and run them manually I get a message about "detection failed". This all began early January which makes me suspect something weird with the Spectre/Meltdown patches may be involved. I have tried an Office 2016 repair and that did not help. Also ran sfc with no finding and no help.

 

All machines, working or not, do have %LANDESKCLIENT%\timber\ a bunch of stuff including ..\content, ..\InstalledPatches, ..\LDHashDir

 

Other patches such as Windows OS and applications like Adobe are working just fine on all computers.

 

At this point I do not think this is an Ivanti problem.

 

My next test is to see if I can uninstall all the spectre/meltdown MS patches and then try the office patches.

 

UPDATE 16:45:  Test case does NOT have any of the Spectre/Meltdown patches installed yet. Office 2016 patches that are failing were released January 3rd through February 7th.  Failing patches: MSNS18-01-4011644, 4011630, 4011625, 4011569, 3178662, 4011221, 4011564; MS18-01-OFF_INTL 4011564, 4011574, 4011627, 4011622, 4011643; MSNS18-02-4011681_INTL, 4011663, 4011646, 4011684. Tried to install the February 13th and March 6th Office 2016 patches and those failed with same errors.

Workspaces right-click menu (as with WebDesk) is on the development roadmap for 2018.3 I believe as one of the top requested ER’s.  As always though that an, and ofter do, change.

That paranoia / reluctance  to install "stuff" on the Core is a healthy thing! Don't knock it.

 

<It's why I suggested nabbing some alternate device, so as to avoid fooling around with the Core and potentially causing headaches. >

Doug, will MailGo keep the PDF as a form-fillable or will it "flatten" it?

Well, MailGo's function to create a PDF doesn't begin with a PDF (or a PDF form)

 

Instead, it starts with HTML (typically a template containing merged contact info) which is then converted to a PDF and e-mailed to the contact.

Missing folder under document templates

Hi,

 

We see that a particular folder is missing from our document templates.

There is a high probability that it might have been accidentally deleted by some user.

Is there any way to trace as to who did it and retrieve it back.

Will the product be introducing GDPR controls, for example, to be able to scrub user information from modules? It is important that software we use is GDPR aware and is changing to make it simple for our business to be compliant.

I might be missing a step - how does the Analyst set that field? Or do I need to create a new DateTime field and then I prompt to request for that field beforehand?

Set Device Auto-Lock

Hi folks,

 

i am trying to set the "auto-lock" settings for iOS11 devices. I am quite sure this was possible in earlier versions of lanrev, now i can't find the option anymore.

It seems since iOS11 the setting on the device has been moved to "Display & Brightness", before it was under "Gerneral" i think. Maybe thats the cause it is no longer setable?!

 

Can anyone advice me where to set this under 7.4.2? Thanks for your help!

No tiles in Start-Menu after upgrade to RES ONE Workspace 10.2.500.1

After the upgrade from 10.2.500.0 to 10.2.500.1 none of the configured mandatory or user-specific tiles are placed at the right side of the Start-menu at logon.

We use Windows 10 LTSB 2016,  any ideas how to fix this?
