You could do that with a triggered action on the Employee object and have this rule trigger your QA on link of note.

Hi jim,

 

Normally I would add a check in the runbook to verify if the user is already added to the group and skip the add if they are.

Or in this case, as you probably don't want 900+ attempts to verify a user, you could consider to disable the invoke runbook in the delivery (and any other workflow steps) and simply let the service be autorequested based on some kind of qualification.

This would probably involve using the unchecking the option "Only for newly qualified people", this a one time thing, it will revert back to it's default (or it should!):

This makes perfect sense and was one of the options I was considering.  Not only will I test, but I will test and then test again .  Thank you for the reply and I will post back with the results.

Can you post a screenshot of the connection settings?  Feel free to change the name of the server, username, etc. to something different if you are concerned about that.  I just want to see the basics of how you have things set up.

 

You can also open a support case to get more focused attention on your problem.  You can even ask them to engage me for assistance.

David.Smart thanks. We did open a case with MS. Our UPN does not match the SMTP address for most of our users. Never has and MS did identify this as a requirement. Though we are not exactly sure why we have been working for over a year in VDI. It was only in this new image where we attempted to update office that this seems to be hitting us. And then it only seems to re-break if we go back and forth between the old version of office 365 and the new version of office 365. By break, I mean prompt for activation. Once we activate and stay on the same version, personalization does appear to be persisting the data (probably just the identities reg keys that matter) so we are not having to re-sign on.

 

However, we did identify that even without roaming any of the data, we should in theory be working since we have ADFS\SSO turned on. But it looks like we are running into issues where it only works if certain other pieces are in place. Here is what we were told is required in addition to the UPN\SMTP address matching:

 

  • Some requirement checks to ensure Auto-Activation works:
  • UPN and Primary SMTP address match
  • Federated accounts,  so you can leverage SSO as UPN and Primary SMTP match
  • Signing into Windows using the domain/federated account
  • Automatic login with current user name and password is checked the IE > security> local intranet zone and Internet zone settings (I've asked for clarification on this one as our internal federation server is in the intranet zone)
  • Activate =True, attribute is created HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Configuration (* With the Office installation, we have not used the <Property Name="AUTOACTIVATE" Value="1" /> in the .xml. According to Microsoft, this is not needed with the ProPlus version.)
  • SignInOptions =2 is manually updated in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\SignIn\
  • NoDomainUser attribute is not enabled in registry. (Not sure what this is)

How to create a saved search that returns incidents opened between times regardless of date

I am trying to create a saved search which returns incidents where the CreatedDateTime falls between the hours of 7 and 9pm. I do not care about the actual date, just the time. Is there a way to strip out the date and just search based on the time via a function? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Usually I set it as shown below:

 

 

Precondition(That check the status)>Automatic Action that does nothing (MoveOn)> Condition (That checks another status) and based on the Yes/No an automatic action will be taken.

Is there an easier option for this?

I don't want to redo a search every Monday.

 

In Incidents, Tasks, and Service Request we are looking build the same table of search results.

 

I am looking to have search that gives me the previous weeks update.

Example

Incidents - Created Incidents by Department

 

I need to have the created date be the previous week and I need to make sure the Resolved Date and Time column is in the report.  To do this, I created the following

search for week.png

No each week I need to go back in and change the top 2 fields.

 

I see there is a During option, but it only allows me to pick one date, and then errors as there is no end date.

 

Anyone have an easier solution?

You could also use the web service behaviour of a Business Object to pass data to either the old Process Manager or RES and let that launch the vbscript for you.

I have tried several expression syntax including $(CurrentUserRole() == "Admin" || $(CurrentUserRole() == "Change Manager"))  in the "Visible Expression property of the field With no luck.

How can I remove a role's ability to set a search as default for other roles?

In my tenant, a service desk manager has the ability to create and edit saved searches. In doing so, they also have the ability to set the search as default for other roles. They are constantly making the mistake of setting a search specific for their teams as the default for shared roles, such as service desk analyst. I've been looking at Object Permissions for roles but can't find anything pertaining to saved searches. Has anyone been able to block a role from making a saved search default for roles, but still retain the ability to create, edit, and publish to all roles?

Also ich muss ehrlich sage, dass mich das echt ein wenig nervt. Da wird ein Produkt angepriesen und dann hört man vom Support nichts.

 

Ebenfalls ist es schon ein schwerwiegendes Sicherheitsproblem langsam.....

 

Wie überbrückt ihr denn den Zeitraum bis der Support mal in die Puschen kommt?!

Hi Kai,

 

das ist in unserem Fall definitiv ausgeschlossen. Wir haben den manuell verteilt, da unser AV Schutz diesen Schlüssel nicht setzt. Der Support hat mir hier auch bestätigt das es ein Bug gibt der aktuell in der Entwicklung liegt.

Uhhh die Pakete in der DSMC zu löschen ist keine gute Idee. Ich würde einmal von vorne anfangen. Dazu den Update Manager beenden und auf dem Master Depot unter UpdateSources\UpdateManager mal die .cfg Datei löschen. Im Anschluss schmeißt du dann nochmal alle Update Pakete aus der DSMC raus.

 

Als nächstes würde ich einmal prüfen ob normale Pakete distribuiert werden. Für die Update Pakete wird der normale Distri Dienst mit den entsprechenden Einstellungen übernommen. Hast du zum Beispiel ein Zeitfenster konfiguriert, distribuiert er auch nur die Update Pakete innerhalb des Zeitfensters. Wenn er normale Pakete distribuiert, müssen auch die Update Pakete distribuiert werden.

 

Wenn er normale Pakete distribuiert starte den Update Manager erneut, er sollte nun die Update Pakete erneut erzeugen und von vorne beginnen.

 

Es gab mal in einer Version einen Bug wo die Update Pakete nicht Distribuiert wurden. Ich kann mich aber an die Version nicht mehr genau erinnern und glaube auch nicht das es dein Problem ist, da in dem Fall dann alle Standorte betroffen sein müssten.

Thanks for the Help. I did try the reactivating but that was not the problem. After trying to run the downloads as administrator, the logs told me that I was out of disk space. Once I freed that up everything downloaded.

I’m not in the office now to check but you could probably get from SQL as I think in the table ui_dashboard. 

 

There is a field  that is xml and contains all gadgets on the dashboard. 

 

Dump the one you want into notepad an you can probably figure out what is coming from where.

Not all fields show up in column drop down in Search Center

GMPE - 2014

When user tried to customize columns in Search Center, the drop down list is missing a lot of fields including user defined fields and system fields. e.g. Last, all the Phone fields
