Hi Everyone
I'm looking at improving my window save time as it's really affecting analysts. It's taking about 2 minutes and running on a separate TPS to analysts and self service users. It feels like it's a database performance issue. This has reduced gradually from about 30 seconds over the recent months/years
I've run the SQL Server Profiler whilst the save was going on and alpplied the recommendations from Performance Tuning advisor with pretty poor results in my dev env (3:24 reduced to 2:49 for the save) I'm not even sure if that is just other variables though
We do have an 90 gig database so this could be the problem
What other speeds are people seeing and is it just a case of throwing some faster disks at the server? I'm currently rummaging through the TechSpec.pdf
Any ideas greatly appreciated
Thanks
Jason
