I am seeing about 1/10th if our of our computers not having been scanned in more than 30 days and turned off. This may seem high, but we just upgraded a significant number of computers.
What's the best way of handling the maintenance of removing old devices? I understand they will just show back up if they get turned on, and I understand that autofix items will just be applied to them at that time. But the longer we keep them on, the "failures" in deployments due to machines being off are somewhat skewed. We haven't instituted a power management policy yet, so OFF means OFF.
But if we initiate a deployment based on a query, and the device is not listed in the query because it was removed, and that item pushed is not turned into autofx before the device comes back on . . . . . You see, that's the thinking I am going thru as I determine the lesser of two weevils.
I would appreciate some discussion on this with more seasoned admins.
