- Is this for a production environment and have you considered looking at the LANDesk Service Desk Technical Specification and Architecture Guidelines for the version of Service Desk you plan on using to determine the sizing requirements prior to consolidating web, app, and db servers onto a single platform? This brings up a lot of additional questions, which I will not go into.
- Minimally for a 771 environment: 1 web server, 1 app server, 1 db server this would support Max 10 analysts, 10 concurrent analysts, with 1000 end users.
- SQL Express has a database limit of 10GB and 1GB of memory per instance, amongst other limitations. Features Supported by the Editions of SQL Server 2014
- Yes, you can migrate to a different database server. However there are or could be other dependencies in your environment in which you would need to address.
- Are you using console only, console and Webdesk, Webdesk only?
- There are a lot of additional questions that could and should be asked before jumping into the migration that you appear to be looking at.
