I ran into the same issue with LDImportDefaultContent. The solution in When installing ALM/LPM the install hangs at "Importing Asset Content Pack" did not work for me. After many hours of troubleshooting we found the SQL account configured in the install cannot contain a space in the password. We removed all spaces in the password in the SQL account and installation continued without issue. Considering LanDesk Management Suite and LanDesk Service Desk SQL accounts allows spaces in the password, this seems more like a bug.
