Re: Is there a way to make an action instance function like a note?

Ideally I want the forms to be slightly different.

When we open a new Problem, you see how in my screen shots when you open it there will be "Description", "ETA", "BusinessOwnerRef", "TechnicalOwnerRef" and "Goal". Basically, my team is in charge of investigating problems so those two fields will be pretty static once set. We describe the ticket, and then set the goal of the investigation. This will open the problem, and we will have an email send out to the Business and Technical Owners with the info on the problem at a very high level.

Then in the second form I have "Work Done", "Next Steps" and "Next Update" this is where we would update the Problem in a collection of all that we have done, and this will also get emailed out to the Business Owner and Technical Owner.

The reason I am using this instead of just a Note is just the formatting of the email. I want to be able to store different data in these different fields and then have the template send out the emails in a format they are accustomed to. So rather than formatting the Note out each time, I would let the Reminder pull the fields out to email, if that makes sense.

To create the collection, I created a new Business Object under Problem Management called "UpdateProblem" then linked it into the Problem Business Object under the same name. When I create the form, I am inserting the fields from the collection within the Problem Business Object. How do I check if the window is read only? The entire window must not be, because I can update anything that is not part of the collection.
