Hi everyone,
We are running LANDesk 9.5 SP2. We are new to patching Mac machines but we want to start utilizing the product to do our Mac patching. However, I have noticed that many patches have to be manually downloaded. Apple's website has some of them, but many of them (such as Keynote, Numbers, etc...) don't have downloads available. I am assuming it is because Mac uses the App store to get these patches. I read another post stating that an Apple server can be used to download all the Mac patches and then integrated with the LANDesk agent to download the files and do the actual patch detection and application.
How would I go about integrating this Apple server functionality with our LANDesk agent? I see an option for "Use alternate update server." Is that where the Apple server name would go? Is this the only way of doing this, or does Apple offer direct downloads of these patches somewhere?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Josh
