Reassign tickets for an analyst that needs to be removed

We have been on LANDesk for about a month now and I have my first request to remove an analyst from the system.  Their network access has been terminated already but in the old system we remove them as an analyst and reassign their tickets to the group.  Just because this is the way we did it in the old system doesn't mean this is how we have to do it in LANDesk.  How do you handle analyst that are no longer with your company?

 

While many of the tickets should have the group already assigned I want to find out before I remove the person as an analyst and from the groups they are in.  My thought was to just change the role from an Analyst to an End User.  If I do that, will the system, ask to reassign the tickets? Or will it just alert you they have tickets assigned? Or none of the above?  If it's none of the above, or just alert you that they have tickets assigned to them, other than creating a query to find the tickets assigned to that analyst and then manually removing the analyst as the assignee on the ticket and reassigning the ticket if the group is not there, is there another way of doing this?
